About ten years ago, my family lost many of our belongings due to a tragic house fire. When we were trying to replace everything, the insurance company required us to furnish proof we actually owned what we claimed we owned. Whether it was a purchase receipt, the burned item itself, or a photo of the item before the fire. Most people don't document their belongings and when disasters occur, much time is tied up dealing with insurance companies.
This is why I offer a Documentation service. No one should need to go through the hassle our family went through. Reasonably priced, you can choose the coverage and detail you prefer. All packages include four CD/DVD copies, three that you receive, and one that I store in a fire safe for up to five years. Of the three you receive, I recommend you keep only one at your house, perhaps one at work, and one sent to a relative living in another region to hold.
Generalized coverage includes whole-room photography of your house or business from each corner. Usually this aides in helping you to remember what you had. It doesn't include detail work.
Cabinet coverage gets its name from the additional step of photographing the interiors of all your cabinets, drawers, chests and closets. Your curio cabinets will get an thorough photo session, along with the rest of your house's hidden areas.
Detailed coverage is just that--detailed. This is a very time consuming process, but yields the best record you can have of your special property.
