Maternity and newborn sessions go hand-in-hand. I like to take the same approach with my maternity sessions that I do with my engagements - let's help capture the excitement and love between you and your spouse in the months before your little bundle of joy comes into this world. Almost all of my maternity sessions are done outdoors, however as always, I have my studio space that I can shoot in as well. Once your little one arrives, we'll schedule in a newborn session in the first few weeks. I have numerous props, but sometimes just the simple things you have (family heirlooms, memorable gifts, etc.) are worthwhile incorporating into the session. For the sake of your little one, I mostly photograph them in your home to ensure we don't disturb them too much. With a feeding before the session, most newborns are more than happy to relax infront of the camera.

More Information

A maternity and newborn session runs $175. Half will be before your due date, and half will be after you have delivered. To add on a package of 3 / 6 / 9 / 12 month portraits, it is an additional $175. Each of the additional portrait sessions take about 20 - 40 minutes, and can easily be done in your own home.

I primarily photograph children portraiture sessions in the Corpus Christi, Padre Island, Kingsville and Rockport areas, however I am available for travel (with additional travel fees.) I don't have a specific booking timeline, however, when you are considering a maternity session, it is best to work around a date you feel you will be comfortable. If you have a theme, vision or concept in mind for your maternity and new born session, I recommend we meet before the session to discuss your ideas - and so I have an idea of what you're looking for. Tumblr, Pinterest & Flickr all are amazing sources of inspiration. I love shooting little ones with the light the heavens provide.

During certain times of the year, my schedule does fill up quickly. Namely Halloween, Christmas and the end of the school year. During those times I try to add as many sessions as I can while keeping in mind all of the post-processing work to ensure that all images are promptly delivered. If you have questions about anything - don't hesitate to contact me for more information and answers.
