It had been several years since I last updated advertising photography for Atelier Salon in Corpus Christi. A couple of week back, the owner reached out to me about reshooting the interior of his salon because they had installed new furniture, fixtures, and stations. Atelier Salon also had added some new staff members so they wanted to get a new round of headshots for the staff. One of the challenges with interior photography of this salon is the many reflective surfaces throughout. The large wall of windows also caused a few potential issues because of the amount of light it lets in as well as the fact it had a non-neutral tint on it that created some color casts. While I was there, I also got a few additional stock photos of some of their in-house product line that come in handy for website backgrounds and social media content.

For the headshots, I wanted to give them a set of environmental portraits with a simplified background that complemented the staff’s dark clothing. I used a basic two-light portrait setup with white bounce to help fill in the shadows on the subjects’ faces. We were able to knock out the entire staff of 14 people in a little over an hour.

If your Corpus Christi business is needing to get some stock photography, interior photography, or headshots of your staff, I’d love to help you out. Reach out to me to discuss what your business needs.
