Yesterday, we had tropical depression / storm ‘Harold’ move through the coastal bend providing us some much needed rain (and some unneeded wind.) I had a hunch that if things cleared up a little bit, we might be poised to have a pretty sky at sunset. At the last minute, I drove downtown to my favorite Corpus Christi skyline photo spot on the north end of Peoples Street T-Head. The winds and clouds were already starting to work their magic, opening a spot in the sky where the setting sun could grace the clouds overhead.
I came lightly prepared planning to use my Canon 6D2, EF 16-35/4L, and a 9-stop ND filter so that I could smooth out the rough water with longer exposures at lower ISO. This was the first shot I edited, but I think I have a few more “keepers” I still need to work on.
