Product Photography | Visit Corpus Christi Fall Merch

Last fall, I worked with Visit Corpus Christi to photograph their fall product line at Rockin' K Farms, a charming corn maze just outside Calallen. The products included a variety of branded t-shirts, sweatshirts, stickers, and can coolers, all aimed at promoting the area's unique charm to fall visitors. Visit Corpus Christi took care of sourcing the models, while I handled the creative direction and photography, ensuring we captured the essence of the products in this fun, outdoor setting.

One of the main challenges of the shoot was the timing. We shot mid-morning under bright sunlight, which required careful planning to manage harsh shadows and balance the lighting for each shot. In some instances, I utilized a monolight flash and beauty dish to soften the sunlight and keep the images consistent and clean. Another hurdle was the unseasonably hot day, which meant the talent had to model cold-weather clothing like sweatshirts despite the warm temperatures. This required a bit of patience and frequent breaks to keep everyone comfortable, but the models did an excellent job staying upbeat and focused.

Despite the challenges, we maintained the schedule, ensuring a quick turnaround for the final files. With Visit Corpus Christi’s deadline for the product line release looming, I streamlined my post-production process to deliver high-quality images quickly. The end result was a vibrant set of photos that captured the laid-back, fun energy of both the products and Rockin' K Farms as a destination.

This project was a great reminder of the importance of flexibility and creative problem-solving in photography. It was rewarding to see the final images used in marketing campaigns that highlight the local spirit of Corpus Christi while helping Visit Corpus Christi connect with their audience through engaging visual content.
