Industrial Photography | Brite Star Uniforms

Brite Star Uniforms was working on enhancing their marketing presence and website recently and needed a set of images created for a variety of uses. This wasn’t the first laundry facility I had photographed, but it was the most advanced I had seen. This industrial photography project in Alice, Texas had a few different facets: the facility & machines, the people behind each step of the process, and environmental portraits of the father-son ownership team.

The space itself was adequately lit which facilitated getting photos of the spaces & people. What was truly unique about how Brite Star works is that uniforms that are brought in all have RFID tags and are scanned in when they arrive, as they move from one station to another, and then a sorting machine automatically groups companies’ uniforms together for return to the customer. Watching the system work was interesting to say the least.

The environmental portraits were a simple one-light setup with a brella-box.
