Industrial Photography | Process & Detail Photos for Bradleys Motors
I recently had the opportunity to do some industrial photography with Bradley’s Motors in Gregory, Texas, capturing detailed photographs of motor parts for their training room. The images were to be used both in training guides and on banners displayed within the room. The challenge was ensuring that each part was photographed with the right level of detail, allowing the staff and trainees to see every crucial element clearly. The setting of the training room required careful consideration when it came to lighting, as we needed to bring out the finer textures and intricacies of the parts while maintaining a clean, professional look for the final images. Some of the parts were a few inches across while other items (like the traction motors) were a few feet across.
To achieve this, I brought in additional lighting equipment to control the exposure and depth of field. This ensured that each motor part was well-lit from the right angles, highlighting important details without any shadows obscuring the details or overexposing other elements. It was essential to get the technical aspects just right, as the photos were going to be printed on large banners, making clarity and sharpness a top priority. The end result was a series of images that not only served as educational tools but also added a visual element to the training space, enhancing the overall learning environment.
