Food Photography | Oyster Bar Valentine Specials

I got called back to the Waterstreet Oyster Bar - a Corpus Christi staple restaurant - to photograph some food for their Valentine’s Day specials. This was planned to be a quick shoot & turnaround session to get the messaging out. Another very straightforward food photography session where the restaurant staff was more than amazing at getting plates prepped, styled, and on our little photo shoot table during a quite busy mid-afternoon rush.

I had kept my lighting recipe from our previous food photography session at the restaurant, so I knew exactly which equipment needed to come inside and all of my settings for the camera and lighting. I don’t think many Corpus Christi restaurants realize how easy and affordable food photography can be.

On another note, everything the Waterstreet Oyster Bar staff brought out looked sooooo delicious. But what really blew me away was the artistry that the Waterstreet Sushi Room chefs put forth in their bouquet of sashimi.

If you own or manage a restaurant in the Corpus Christi / Texas Coastal Bend area, I’d love to help answer any questions you may have regarding food photography and how easy & affordable content can be.
