La Palmera Mall had a large tenant space that needed some marketing content to share with potential future tenants. This 7,000 sqft space (formerly Charming Charlie) needed to be captured using both Matterport 3D technology as well as standard photography. When I’m taking photos of commercial real estate in the Corpus Christi area, I usually suggest that we incorporate Matterport 3D scans as a way to provide interested parties the ability to walk through the space, look at existing furniture, fixtures, and equipment, and provide a base floor plan.
What makes the Matterport 3D tour such a good option is my ability to create measurements and tags throughout the 3D modeled space - in the example below I have attached the floor plan as the first tag visible, additional tags show electrical panel layouts & nameplates, as well as exterior photos. Traditional photography allows clients to create marketing materials and share the space with others in a more traditional format.
