Food Photography | Waterstreet Oyster Bar Entrees

A continuation of our Waterstreet Oyster Bar restaurant photography, the south Texas-themed seafood entrees are where Oyster Bar really shines. Their menu runs quite the gamut, however, everything is prepared fresh and regardless of what you choose, you can’t make a wrong decision. These plates were photographed using the same setup as the desserts: a 43” brella-box, my standard food photography kit including the Canon 6Dii and 100/2.8L, as well as a Godox 200 with bare bulb. I flag with black foam and fill with white foam as needed.

We also wanted to get a few shots of food ‘in action’ being placed in front of guests. For this, we reserved a table that caught some direct sunlight through the restaurant skylights to provide a little drama. It only took an additional 5 minutes and provides a completely different look from the traditional plate shot.
