Event Photography | American Bank Center v. Visit Corpus Christi FAM Tour
Last year I had the opportunity to photograph a Familiarization Tour, or “FAM Tour,” organized by the American Bank Center in collaboration with Visit Corpus Christi. This engaging event was designed to showcase the venue's unique offerings to potential clients and event planners. The tour highlighted key spaces, including the iconic Selena Auditorium and various conference and event areas within the American Bank Center. The experience culminated in a private suite where attendees enjoyed a live performance by Parker McCollum in the American Bank Arena, creating a memorable finish to an exciting day.
Throughout the tour, attendees were not only given a glimpse into the versatile event spaces but also participated in a fun activity—customizing their own cowboy hats. This interactive element added a personal touch, allowing guests to connect with the local culture. Dinner and drinks were catered by OVG, enhancing the overall experience with delicious food and refreshments.
My role involved capturing the energy and atmosphere of the day, focusing on the attendees, venue staff presenting the spaces, and the overall mood throughout the tour. Photographing the excitement of the guests as they explored the venue and interacted with the staff highlighted the warmth and hospitality that Corpus Christi is known for. Each shot aimed to reflect the unique vibe of the tour, showcasing not just the facilities but the community spirit that makes events in Corpus Christi special.
As the evening progressed, the anticipation built for the Parker McCollum concert, and I aimed to capture the excitement leading up to the performance. The blend of touring the facilities and enjoying a live show provided a dynamic backdrop for my photography, allowing me to convey the lively atmosphere of the event.
This FAM Tour was a fantastic opportunity to showcase the American Bank Center’s capabilities and the vibrant energy of Corpus Christi. The photos from this project will serve as valuable marketing tools, highlighting the venue as an ideal location for future events, and emphasizing the rich cultural experiences that attendees can enjoy.
