Vacation Rental Photography | Beachside 103
The other day I had a new client reach out to me about a property they managed in Port Aransas at the Beachside townhome community. Immediately, I remembered the amazing pool this community had from my days when I photographed vacation rentals in Port Aransas for Silver Sands. It features some amazing landscaping as well as hardscaping with a rock “bridge” that’s actually a slide helps to divide the pool into two separate spaces. A shallow ledge on one end of the pool provides a great area for young ones to splash. The whole thing is surrounded by some nice umbrella-style palapas rounding out the tropical oasis feel expected from vacationing in Port Aransas.
The management company was looking for an enhanced set of photos for their short-term rental including window views. This vacation property was a breeze to photograph. It was well appointed throughout with two sets of bunk beds, two large bedrooms, and both a rear ground-level picnic patio and a second-floor porch hangout. The Beachside Port Aransas townhome community is very centrally located and a quick ride out to the beach.
My enhanced vacation rental photography is a great upgrade from standard listing photos, especially for higher-end short-term rentals. When I photograph for an enhanced listing, colors are more accurate, lighting is more natural, and I guarantee to have clear* views through all the windows. It does take longer than my standard real estate photography technique, but it’s a great way to set your vacation rental ahead of the rest of the competition.
*Clear window views are dependent on having freshly cleaned, unfogged windows. Windows that have salt-spray or dirt buildup will appear hazy in the final photographs.
