Home of the Week | 15214 Main Royal
Hope everyone has had a great week - I know this week had me photographing homes all over to coastal bend. I spent a morning in Kingsville, another morning in Mathis, several afternoons on Padre Island, and Sunday afternoon on North Beach. The home I’ve chosen to feature this week wasn’t the largest nor most expensive home I photographed. Instead, it seemed like a perfect house for a getaway. The kind of house I’d live in if I could just fish for a living and not have a care in the world.
This home is a simple waterfront home that checks all the boxes for island life. The bedrooms are all well-sized, the living area and kitchen share an open layout, and it has plenty of outdoor space regardless of your hobbies. Padre Island is one of a few places where vivid wall colors are perfectly acceptable to round out that tropical seaside aesthetic, and this house utilizes two bright colors very well in the living and kitchen areas.
In the backyard there is ample space for a pool add-on, the standard waterfront home combination boat-lift and upper party deck, and the bulkhead has a big enough set back to accommodate storage of some pelagic gear. It’s on the shady side of the canal in the afternoon - another definite advantage.
I’m available to photograph homes throughout the coastal bend and routinely spend a few days a week photographing real estate on Padre Island.
